Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has named renowned economists, Chukwuma Soludo and Bismarck Rewane in an eight-man Economic Advisory Council (EAC). The Council will advise the President on economic matters. This was disclosed in a statement released by the Presidency on Monday.
Meanwhile, the newly-constituted Economic Advisory Council will replace the current Economic Management team.
Further, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, revealed that the Council will report directly to the President. In addition, he revealed that the team will work with relevant members of the new cabinet.
“This advisory council will replace the current Economic Management Team (EMT) and will be reporting directly to the President.
